Concept
Segmented and Smooth Vault designs are accomplished by combining straight and/or curved members. Prefabricated extruded aluminum or wood components are available.
Shape
Center Main Beams are always straight using either wood or extruded aluminum components. The 1-1/2" aluminum tee and hardwood cross struts are available curved to create a smooth arch. All components are available straight for segmented vaults. Module
The module is formed by the cross struts which can be 6" o.c., 8" o.c., 12" o.c., 24" o.c. and 36" o.c. Perimeter

Diffusers
The standard luminous diffuser is #S80A, .080" white translucent acrylic. A simulated wire glass pattern on the diffusers is a standard option. Many colors of translucent or opaque acrylic and even polished metal, fabric, wood veneer and acoustical panels are available.
Finish
The standard metal finishes are White, Bronze, Black and Silver Satin Polene. Special polene painted colors are available. Real wood veneer with clear lacquer finish also available. Lighting
Standard open tube fluorescent fixtures, either strip or reflector style, are used in the plenum above the ceiling system. Care in the plenum and lamp center design should be taken to assure even illumination on the diffuser surface. |

The depth of the arch design is a function of the angle and width. The lamps should be at least 6" above the skylite.
