Wood Louvers

Modular & Non-Modular Wood Louvers

Open Wood Grid Ceilings are attractive and functional. This beautiful definition of the ceiling plane allows air, light and sound to penetrate freely. These ceilings allow integration of illumination, acoustic treatment, air distribution and sprinklers without interrupting the design principal.

Wood Grid Ceilings come in thwo basic designs:

Modular - installs into standard T-Bar suspension.

Non-Modular - with integral concealed suspension.

SHOP DRAWINGS
We provide CAD shop drawings for every project. These drawings are your assurance that we have correctly interpreted your design, layout, configuration and interface with adjoining surfaces.

FIRE RATING
When Class A fire rating is required, simply suffix your part number with "FR".

SPECIES
We list only a few standard species of wood. There are many more available upon request.

FINISH
Double Cpat Satin Clear Lacquer is standard. Custom Staining is optional and a sample from the field is required for matching.

OPTIONS
Top Diffusers - .080" White acrylic top diffuser can be used in luminous applications to eliminate the possible view of the plenum area. "S80A"



PREMIUM SOLID HARDWOODS
 The actual color and grain of the final product may vary slightly from the displayed color and grain shown. Wood is a natural product and inherently inconsistant.

 

Modular Wood Louvers

Louvers are fabricated as modular eggcrate elements to fit standard T-Bar suspension systems. The T-Bar system is visible and creates a secondary pattern on the ceiling plane. We can supply matching veneer grid systems to complement or contrast the wood louvers.

MOUNTING STYLE


T-BAR SUSPENSION SYSTEMS   
CELL SIZE, BLADE THICKNESS & SHIELDING
Cell Depth in relationship to cell width determines the Shielding Angle for cut-off of the view through the grid ceiling to the plenum. A shielding angle of approximately 30 degrees is considered optimum. The open area of the cell has a bearing on light transmission from illumination above as well as acoustical performance.

T-BAR OPTIONS

 

Non-Modular Wood Louvers

Louver elements are fabricated to integrate with matching hanger runners for a smooth, unbroken non-modular ceiling surface. The louver sections interlock with the hanger and cross members which disappear into the blade pattern. Hanger runners of the same profile are furnished with splice plates. These are suspended using standard hanger wire. Factory installed steel insets and eye hooks provide suspension connections.
